FAQs for Training Partners

Q 1. We are an agriculture-based government organization, is there a special process to become a Training Partner(TP)?e

A. No, there is no special process. You have to register yourself as Training Partner on Skill India Portal by following the link https://skillindia.nsdcindia.org/. Kindly read the User manuals at bottom of the page and then referring to - SMART section https://nsdcpdfdocuments.s3-ap-south1.amazonaws.com/documents/SMART/TP_Registration.pdf and https://nsdcpdfdocuments.s3- ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/documents/SMART/TC_Registration.pdf for better understanding. Q 2. We are a private / government training institute and want to take part in Government sponsored Skill Training Program. How can we become a training partner?

A. For becoming a Training Partner you are requested to register on Skill India Portal following above the process.

Q 3. We are a private organization and want to get associated with ASCI through a fee based model, what process we need to follow?

A. To become a Training Partner you have to register on Skill India Portal under Fee based (SSC) Scheme by following the above process of Affiliation and Accreditation. For getting recommendation letter from ASCI, you need to share Letter of Registration for your Training Centre with the affiliation team at affiliation@asci-india.com. The affiliation team would share Fee Based Application form of ASCI. You need to fill the application form and after complete internal evaluation and due diligence, if ASCI finds you matching up to the parameters, will there after provide the recommendation letter.

Q 4. We are already registered training partner on SIP, do we need to register again?

A. No, TP is independent to any Sector Skill Council, if you have registered TP ID which is valid, then you need not to register again.

Q 5. We have training center for other SSC, how can we go for Agriculture SSC Job role?

A. In this case if you have Training center registered on Skill India Portal, then you need to apply for RE-DA (Re- Desktop Assessment), edit your CAAF form and add agriculture job roles and submit the form again.

Q 6. Does getting affiliated with SSC means SSC will allocate targets?

A. SSC doesn’t allocate any funds/ targets, SSC acts as a facilitator.

Q 7. What happens when Training Centre validity expires, how can Training Centre Re-new the certificate?

A. Training Centre can apply for Re-Accreditation and then follow the next steps of affiliation again

Q 8. I am resident of a rural / urban area with primary education and desire to undertake skill training and acquire a skill certificate. How can I register for a skill qualification?

A. You need to enroll yourself through affiliated Training Partners / Training Centers. You can also download your nearest Training center details from this link: http://asci-india.com/Training%20List.php

Q 9.I am an unemployed youth who has been working to temporary jobs and contracts. I already have skills in a particular Agricultural Trade. I want to acquire a certificate to recognize my available skills to enable me to get a regular job. How can the ASCI assist me?

A. You can obtain a skill certificate under the “Recognition of Prior Learning” (RPL) scheme of PMKVY. TO obtain more information about the scheme write to us at: info@asci-india.com.

Q 10. How long does it take to acquire a skill; what is the duration of skill-based program?

A. The duration of the courses depends on the type of skill and it may take a minimum of 200 hours.

Q 11. How much will it cost me to acquire a basic skill under PMKVY?

A. Under PMKVY, individuals do not have to pay any Training and Assessment Fee.

Q 12.What are the benefits of skill-based training and certification?

A. The main objective of skill training and certification programs is to certify that an individual has acquired skill in a specific role and make an individual equipped with industry relevant skills to make them employable and self-sustainable. Training Centers will also assist them in placements.
