Affiliation of Training Partners

Any entity that fulfills the eligibility parameters laid down by NCVET / SSC can seek affiliation from a Sector Skill Council to deliver the requisite elements of a NOS based vocational training. The affiliation process conducted by an SSC / NCVET will carry out evaluation of competence and availability of the desired infrastructure/ capability of creating the desired infrastructure matching the needs/ requirements for delivering NOS based skill training.
ASCI has robust protocols for affiliating training partners to ensure that high standards of training are maintained at all times. These protocols have been developed in partnership with NSDC, which mandates affiliation of the Training Partner and accreditation of Training Centre prior to delivery of training. ASCI identifies, assesses and affiliates the existing public or private training institutes in different geographical regions to ensure widespread delivery of NOS aligned curriculum. Institutions eligible to seek affiliation with the Sector Skill Council are:

  • Training Organizations/Institutions set up by NSDC funding
  • Training Institutions set up/affiliated to the Central / State Government of India, Private Training Institutions
    independently operating in vocational space whose core occupation is skill training.
    • ITIs/ITCs affiliated to NCVET
    • Institutions approved by Councils under Central Government like AICTE
    • College/ Institutes affiliated to a University set by Central or State/ UT Government or recognized by UGC
    • Schools / Institutes approved by Central or State Boards of Secondary Education (or equivalent) or Boards of Technical Education.
    • Any other institute set up by Central or State/ UT government/Private Training Institutions independently operating in Vocational Space
  • Training institutions set up by private companies to meet the skilled manpower requirement for in-house needs or for the sector
  • Company/Firm/Society/Trust – Any of the above fulfilling any of the following criteria:
    • An organization registered in India, conducting business in the domain of skill development & training, having Permanent Income Tax Account Number (PAN) and Service Tax Registration Number and audited accounts of statements at least for last one year

Note:

Applicants proposing to acquire fee based affiliation from ASCI will also have to first register on the Skill India Portal (SIP)as Training Partner and get the Letter of Registration (LOR) for the that specific training centre from NSDC. Copy of this LOR is to be to forwarded to SSC along with the request orFee Based affiliation by filling the SSC Application form and submitting both soft and hard copy of the application.

Post due diligence and internal evaluation and the organization fulfilling all the basic parameters SSC will provide a ‘recommendation letter’ for the entity to proceed for FEE-BASED (SSC) affiliation.

Advisory:

It is advised to read the instructions in the form carefully and restrictions / mandatory pre- requirements to apply for certain job roles. Instructions for applying for certain job roles, equipment / tool and infrastructure for different job roles are also provided separately on the web site.

It may be noted that ASCI has a Zero tolerance policy for any acts of fraud, misrepresentation, falsification and fabrication of information.

Application / request for affiliation with ASCI are purely voluntary and choice of the applicant entity. It is not binding on ASCI to accept all requests or provide ‘recommendation’ letter to any / all applicants requesting for association with ASCI.

Request for affiliation with ASCI will be considered / processed for those entities that fulfil the minimum conditions for affiliation as approved by NCVET and SSC.
